These kabobs were succulent! I made this for a bbq recently and instead of basting the sauce on while it was cooking, I used it for a marinade overnight (but meat, no vegetables) so cooked the kabobs the next solar day without whatever extra sauce basted on them, and they were a hitting with everyone!

This has to be i of the all-time beef kabob recipes I've come across on this site! I didn't bother cooking it on the stove though, I just melted the butter in a microwave safe dish and added the residuum of the ingredients. I used nigh 1 & one/ii cups of low sodium V8 and used 2 Tbsp. of dried minced onion instead of chopped. Whenever I see a marinade that calls for ketchup I employ chili sauce equally a skillful rule of thumb. Information technology just seems to provide that niggling extra kicking. I also used smoked paprika vs. regular because I had some on hand. I reserved half of the marinade in a small dish for later apply and put the beefiness in the rest and let it marinate for a full 24 hours. I skewered the beef and veggies separately and used the reserved marinade to baste the veggies. It's of import to melt the beef and veggies separate because they cook at different rates. Plus, you lot don't want to overcook your beef, cook it to how you like your steak.

I made these for a very big oversupply. Everyone loved them! Be certain to put foil on the grill though. Kinda messy.

Adept just only idea the sauce was so-so. The tomato juice flavor really overwhelms the other ingredients. Also, I think most one/2 the sauce is enough and I would recommend marinating the meat in the sauce for several hours to tenderize information technology a fleck.
05/23/2003
First-class! Definitely a keeper! I halved the sauce, marinated the beef for a few hours before skewering in some of the sauce and saved the rest for basting on the dress-down---fabulous! The 10-twelvemonth old insisted on taking the leftovers to school in his dejeuner kit the next day. Look forward to a summer total of kabobs!
05/12/2005
I enjoyed the concept merely I did not savour the sauce very much. It but didn't sit right with me. I doubled the sauce and concluded up with a TON of kabobs. This recipe definitely goes a long fashion. I will probably not be making this over again though.
05/19/2003
Fantabulous...I made the sauce, and used iii/four of it to marinate the steak pieces. Used the residue to baste steak and veggies as they were cooking....made extras to use for dejeuner next day, only...there were none left.
10/02/2010
All-time beef kabobs i've e'er had! And...it's low glycemic enough for diabetics.
06/22/2002
Fabulous dish! I volition defintely make this again!
05/21/2003
Delicious. I loved the flavour of the sauce, although I only needed to utilize nigh half of it.
06/26/2012
Instead of lycopersicon esculentum juice, use V-8 regular or spicy. Its cracking and does not have that overpowering tomato juice flavor. Otherwise great!
09/09/2011
I can't say this was a keeper. I didn't enjoy the tomato plant sauce as a base. If I were to effort it once again, possibly I'd employ a spicy tomato sauce. If yous like tomato, use more than than "i nuance" of hot sauce. Information technology'south very bland. Thanks for sharing this recipe, though. I think information technology would be appealing to some, just not me and my 3picky eaters!
11/22/2010
made this for a party for my female parent and begetter; I changed the servings to lx; the measurements came out great!! Anybody LOVED the kabobs!
05/26/2002

08/23/2001
Very good, the sauce was the all-time!
08/23/2009
My family and I think they are very adept,I dont think there is too much sauce as you lot use information technology to baste the kabobs while they are on the grill. I do not similar tomoatos or tomato jusice but this sauce is so yummy-and then if y'all are not a tomato plant person dont pass this i up!
05/29/2003

09/13/2003
I have tried many sauces for Kabobs and this ane was by far the best, I'll always use this one from at present on, in one case I tasted it I made another batch merely to exist sure we had enough
09/06/2004
Oh male child do my husband and I love this recipe! Just the first time I made it, I forgot to buy tomato juice, so I used a can of tomato plant soup instead. It was so proficient I've been doing that always since!
08/16/2004
This is a great sauce recipe but does nothing to enchance the beefiness. Adjacent time, I would marinate the beef (volition have to search allrecipes for a adept recipe) and just make this sauce to serve on the side. The sauce would likewise exist good equally a dip for beef fondue.
08/03/2010
Non actually my sense of taste, married woman thought it was ok
09/28/2009
I thought these were delicious! I added extra onion (chopped also much) and seasoned meat with steak seasoning and a niggling Lawry's before threading. I grilled on a grill pan with a piffling olive oil. Turned out slap-up!
06/28/2005
These are the Best E'er Kabobs!!! The sauce is delicious and I did double recipe, so I had enough for basting and dipping for later!
05/25/2009
Very good. I basted the kabobs the entire time. Was a hit for Memorial Solar day. Give thanks you.
08/09/2008
Left out the tomato juice since nosotros did not have any. Added merely i/2 cup of water in its place. Sauce was terrific and a hit. Will definately make this again.
07/23/2008
Very practiced! I added zuchinni and squash as well every bit yellowish peppers. Definitely utilise foil on the grill to concur the sauce. It could exist messy otherwise.
08/12/2009
Unfortunately, this 1 was neither "the all-time" or "saucy". We were left peckish other kabobs nosotros had made in the past.
06/08/2010
Succulent! The whole family loved them!
06/twenty/2009
Fantastic. I marinated for an 60 minutes before grilling so basted it on the grill.
03/15/2007
Definitely non the "best" of anything. It was just okay. Probably wont brand once again.
06/fifteen/2008
Awesome. I made the marinade the night before and let the meat tenderize for near 18 hours before grilling. They were a huge striking. I even left out the hot sauce considering last minute realized I didn't have any. Will add it next fourth dimension for a little boot.
08/03/2004
This was a delicious recipe. I followed the recipe every bit provided, with the exception of marinating the beef about 1 1/2 hours prior to cooking. I did double the sauce recipe as suggested and found I had some left over. I don't mind...information technology's in the fridge!
08/06/2009
These were absolutely the best kabobs I've ever had. No substitutions needed. Even my husband who is not a sauce person loved loved loved this recipe. Nosotros had craven the next dark and he asked if I had whatever of the sauce left. This is a keeper recipe. Thanks Debbie!!
08/22/2004
My husband and I liked this a lot. I kept some sauce on the side and used it for dipping. Will definitely make again.
09/03/2004
This turned out keen!. I spiced it upward a scrap past subbing some El Pato Jalipeno tomato sauce and it kicked it up.
09/16/2008
I made this marinade tonight for our Kabobs and was completely unimpressed. Information technology didn't taste bad, but information technology certainly won't be used once more here.
08/15/2004
We dearest this recipe. I accept made this quite oft and we can't seem to get enough. I make a little extra to serve over the kabobs and rice.mmmmmmmm expert.
07/22/2012
My husband said besides many vegetables, but I retrieve information technology was merely right . We also marinated the meat overnight and I can't imagine it without that, because even with the marinating, the meat was kinda tough.
01/05/2008
Crawly with beef marinated overnight in the sauce. Made another batch of sauce to serve with the rice and kabobs.
06/27/2012
First-class! I inverse only by marinating in sauce for one hour ahead of time, and omitting the mushrooms.
06/04/2009
Only loosely followed this recipe - simplified ingredients. Marinating helps tenderize and flavor beef. Use most whatever combo of veggies: peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions are always good
09/02/2014
This is one of my favorite recipes and is always a big striking. The marinade / sauce is super yummy - you can literally consume it by itself! You will not stop gustatory modality-testing :) The start fourth dimension I made this, I went straight to the grill. The 2d-time I marinated for 10 hours. Both were excellent. Definitely don't be shy brushing that sauce on as your grilling! Tin can't wait to make again!
06/05/2007
Sauce was really good! I used 1/2 the beef only kept the other ingredients the aforementioned & had plenty of sauce left over. Will certainly make again!
02/06/2015
I loved the tomato flavor in these kabobs. I didn't blood-red tomatoes and then I used a big Roma, cut into chunks. Besides set little fleck of the sauce aside in a basin for basting and so marinated the kabob meat and veggies for a couple of hours before skewering. Delicious!
05/31/2004
Nosotros really enjoyed this sauce.
06/17/2009
I concur with DeafDogLover. I didn't like the sauce at all. We take eaten much meliorate beefiness kabobs.
05/21/2004
We loved this. We marinated the meat for over an hour and used the residual to baste. It was delicious. I thought I made enough for leftovers just information technology was all gone that night.
06/fifteen/2009
Excellent recipe! I used a London broil because information technology was cheaper. Meat was marinated overnight. We like spicy, then will spice it up more for the states next time.
05/25/2009
Very banal...glad I did not serve it to anyone other than myself.
06/23/2013
never really like kabobs just they have destine of flavor. very good
05/25/2008
thank you for making my get-go kabob dinner a hit! The sauce was so yummy. A squeamish tanginess blended with a mild richness and a tiny spice. Anybody at the BBQ raved...volition cook again and again.
06/28/2012
Very adept! But a little time consuming & messy. I used measurements exactly but subbed: Five-viii for tom juice, Chili Sauce for ketchup, Smoked Paprika for regular, & used Chipotle Hot Sauce. Poured enough sauce to cover/marinate beef for 1.v hrs (would probably exist even better marinating for 24 hrs). Cut upwards veggies, drizzled w/Olive Oil, table salt & pepper & tossed w/a little sauce to glaze. Grilled about 4-5 mins per side, basting using only about 1/4 cup of sauce (saved the rest for leftovers!). Husband loved them, he dipped in ranch - just I preferred just as they are. My stepson LOVES bbq sauce so I'll probably merely make the sauce to put on well-nigh everything! Will make kabobs for but special occasions on a weekend due to time. Might try spicy V-8 & cayenne next fourth dimension. Had good season, a little hint of spice simply prefer a little more punch. Groovy base of operations recipe!!
07/11/2012
Oh my gosh, these are FABULOUS and easy! I did not have time this AM, and then I threw all the sauce ingredients (melted the butter) in a big ziploc, mixed it up quick, and threw my meat in at that place. I took the advice of others and marinated for almost eight hours. It added so much taste! I volition make these again for sure! Next time I volition attempt to brand the sauce 'properly' so I tin have some for basting. :) Thanks for this recipe!
09/12/2006
This recipe is a kepper! I made information technology today for the offset time. I did cut the recipe in half because there are only 2 of the states. Other than that I followed the recipe to the letter and my married woman and I loved information technology. Thanks Debbie Tabor. David
12/23/2013
I tried it tonight. I was really surprised that with all the high ratings that it was so-so at least to my tastebuds. It lacked buzzaz,
06/28/2016
I used the sauce equally a marinade and reserved some to drip the kabobs while grilling. It was yummy.
07/23/2012
not bad recipe! I lined my grill with tin foil before I ever turned it on. Because you accept to pour more sauce on the kabobs mid style, this took care of a lot of the mess and potential flames! My husband loved them!
06/13/2007
I fabricated this dish and sent leftovers with my mom the adjacent twenty-four hour period over rice, and she is a gormet melt and she told me how proud of me she was and how amazing her lunch was, thanks for the recipe, i will accept to try some more than.
07/02/2014
I made these for dinner this evening. They were so good. I kept the recipe as is and it was a hitting.
06/30/2015
This sauce is incredible. This will definitely exist a visitor dish!
09/15/2006
I'd recommend marinating or seasoning (at to the lowest degree salt + pepper!) the meat alee of fourth dimension. Brushing on the sauce merely before grilling didn't add together enough flavour for usa, and we didn't beloved the sauce enough to dip the kabob pieces in information technology.
07/22/2012
Absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! I don't think I will ever want to make another kabob- these were so outstanding that we polished off the recipe in no time. Fortunately, I had quadrupled the sauce so there was plenty left to brand another batch. I chose to marinate the meat overnight in the sauce and it became and then tender that I could have been eating filet instead of sirloin. An awesome winner!!!
07/22/2012
Loved this recipe. I did craven as well as beef, and the sauce was wonderful on both. I was concerned with the base of operations existence tomato juice, and a comment that the sauce was overpowered with it, but I didn't find that to exist true. Information technology a corking flavour.
07/12/2017
Did not like sauce
07/07/2019
I didn't have whatsoever ruby-red tomatoes, but with the sauce I didn't feel the lack. Next time I may marinade all the ingredients in the basting sauce for a fleck earlier assembling/cooking.
08/26/2013
Loved this sauce. I did not accept lycopersicon esculentum juice then I used tomato sauce with a fleck of water and omited the ketchup and it was not bad. next time I will double the recipe I wanted more on the rice that was served with the meal.
